Subsequently, he has trained in Astanga Yoga, the Mysore School of yoga. His experience in theatre is yet another gift in bringing out the fullest potential of persons. He employs these skills beautifully while imparting yoga training. He started teaching in 2007. As a sound practitioner of yoga for over 30 years, his understanding of body, breath and mind enables him to identify issues to provide the appropriate tools for a person's holistic growth.

He is a sensitive writer and has authored several articles and books. He has also made three documentary films. He has been writing articles on Yoga in Doctor Vikatan, Kungumam - weekly and The Hindu (Tamil). He has written two yoga books (Yoga for Students and an exclusive book on Surya Namaskar). He worked for the BBC World Service.
